NBA Finals: ‘A little crazy, but I’m going to win it’
It was a weird game.
The Lakers won it in seven games.
The Sixers won it by seven points in six games.
But the Lakers got to the line six times and the Sixers only got to it once.
I can understand that.
This was the third game in a row that they’ve lost at home.
The teams played the entire first half of this series, and the Lakers went on a 16-0 run in the third quarter.
They did have one last big offensive stretch in the fourth quarter, but the Sixers came up short, giving up the final 11 points of the fourth.
The Knicks made seven of 14 shots and were outscored 37-29.
They had their two best players — Anthony Davis and Carmelo Anthony — go out with bruised ankles.
“It was just crazy,” said Anthony.
“We made a bunch of plays.
The game was so tight. “
They made a lot of plays for us.
The game was so tight.
We were down 17 and the second half was going in our favor, so we kind of just played with it.”
It was not the Lakers’ best defensive effort, but it was also not the Sixers worst.
The Bucks scored just 19 points off of turnovers and had a career-low five assists.
They also shot just 26 percent from the field.
The biggest issue for the Sixers was that they didn’t have a true shooting guard.
Davis and Anthony both shot poorly, as did the other Sixers shooting guards.
It didn’t help that they shot just 12 of 32 from the floor.
This wasn’t the best basketball game of the night.
The only time the Lakers really made a big play was on a fast break.
It came on a 3-pointer by Jordan Clarkson that would have been a three-point play if the Lakers had not lost the ball on the other end.
After missing two free throws, the Lakers missed a wide-open jumper and missed a free throw from the corner.
The Bulls scored the next three points and then scored on a dunk from Dwight Howard.
“When we missed the big shots and the big threes and the layups, we kind to be honest, it was a little bit of a mess,” said Bryant.
“I thought it was very frustrating.
We had some good shots, but we didn’t get the ball.”
The Sixers led 54-51 at halftime, but they couldn’t get any closer to the Lakers in the second.
After the Lakers scored the final 13 points of that first half, Bryant hit a 3 that put the Lakers ahead 53-53.
The next three baskets came from the Lakers, and they scored the rest of the way.
The team finished with 31 points.
The second half started off as well for the Lakers.
They led 51-48 with 5:37 left in the first half.
They scored the last six points of a 14-0 spurt that ended up with the Sixers down 50-43.
After a pair of 3-pointers by Bryant, the Sixers led 52-51.
That led to a jumper by DeMar DeRozan, and he got into an argument with the Lakers bench coach after a bad turnover.
“He’s a good guy,” said DeRos.
“But I don’t think I’ll go out and yell at him.
I’m not going to yell at anybody.
I don, like, yell at them.”
The Bucks hit 3-point shots early in the game to put the Sixers up 57-54, but missed one in the final seconds.
After that, Bryant came up with his third 3-Point Play of the game.
He hit one from behind the arc to make it 63-59.
The other three 3s came from Bryant, Josh Smith and Aaron Gordon.
After Jordan Clarkson made two free kicks and was fouled, Bryant made a 3 in transition.
He missed it.
Bryant hit another three from behind to put Los Angeles up 63-57.
The Nets responded with two freebies, and DeRosa hit a layup for the first of two points.
Then DeRzo made another 3, this one with 1:39 left in regulation.
That put the Nets up 73-71, but again, Bryant missed two free throw attempts.
The first two missed, the Bucks tied it up with 1 1/2 minutes left.
Bryant then made another jumper, and a 3 by DeRzaan put the Bucks up 81-79 with 1 minute left.
That brought the Lakers back to within a point.
DeRizan hit another 3 from the baseline, and then Jordan Clarkson missed a lay-up.
The third missed.
DeAndre Jordan hit another jumper and then hit a corner 3.
DeRoos missed the next two shots, and Bryant hit the final one.
That gave the Lakers a 78-74 lead with 1 minutes left in overtime.
Bryant made another three and a lay up with 12 seconds left. DeJ
